Blackrock quarry threshold visual development

I had the pleasure to concept and develop CONTROL visual style for the last 2 years with Stuart McDonald (world design director) and Janne Pulkkinen (art director).
Hundreds of concepts have been made, I will post just a few.

Here are some concepts made for the blackrock quarry area. I also painted the weird stairy skybox - the only sky that you can see in the whole game.
